INTRODUCTION
Welcome to our page about plans to make changes to the outside of the Galafield Family Hub on Newbiggin Lane, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE5 1LZ.
DPP Planning, working for Action for Children, is getting ready to send a planning application to Newcastle City Council. Before we do this, we would like you to look at the plans and tell us what you think.
The Proposal
The planned changes include:
– A strong fence around the outside, 2.4m high, that is hard to climb.
– A smaller wooden fence inside, 1.1m high.
– A new greenhouse for growing plants.
– Planters to make a growing area.
– A ‘break out space’ with raised plant beds and seats.
– New picnic benches.
– Play equipment for children.
– New paving and tarmac paths.
These changes will make Galafield Family Hub better for everyone who uses it in the future.
You can see the plans at the bottom of this page.
